You guys might assume i am posting sth about the latest Mummy show i just watched.haha..nope..
I was working there..it all started when i got a call from my cousin yue meng asking me if he can interest me in a job..it was on such short notice but i agreed anyway..and so i called called a few friends and all turned me down except Eric..haha..dude i can count on u..so i went picked him up and of we go to 1U GSC..thought we were really late due to the massive jam at the LDP turn off...but reached just in time..so there we were setting up the booth and job deligation was next on the agenda..me and eric with 3 more guys were assigned to collect all handphones, camera and any other electronic devices..the envelope done by UIP (united international pictures) was very easy to handle with the tear up strip..so there i was dressed so formal..the only other time was during interviews and annual ball..I have to say my job was rather simple..all i have to do was to keep on repeating this line ," sir and ma'am could u surrender ur hp, cam or any electronic devices"..haha.. then open envelope place the devices inside then tear and staple..kao tim...sounds simple right..and i have to say my stapling skills improved drastically..but no job in this world i as smooth sailing as thought right..and i did have my fair share of funny, awkward moments..
I had a girl and her mum came up to me..the gal gave her hp and then she started to hurry her mum..and then..jeng jeng jeng..she shouted WAIT LA. I SENDING SMS!!!!! swt i tell u..
and then there this couple..a chinese gal with a caucasian..the gal was saying...'stop lecturing me' with an irritated tone..and with a face as black as soot...haihz..smile la a little..u r after all going to watch a nice movie for free right..ok and then there was this chinese educated guy who came up to me and say..ehh lei chou mat?? mean what u doing?? and then i went to tell hom bout my job with broken chinese patched with english..and then with a puzzled look he said..why i need to give u my hp..i scared lost..with the chinese slang..i guess i did see the funny side of it and casually smiled..but he with really adament into surrendering it..a small commotion started..then my couzzie came to save the day..cause i saw the chinese guy holding the normal movie tix and not the cool looking black in colour premiere tix..haihz..there i was with egg in my face again..but thanks couzzie..u r indeed a life saver..so after collection ..it was time for sorting out and then preparation for the returning of the devices..strike 11.15pm a huge mob of ppl turned up..it was hectic..and we kept bumping into each other trying to search for the right envelope..and then at 11.45pm the next flock of 3 cinema full came..it was again time crisis..i have to say the demands of this job is great..enjoyed the challenge..haha..and the anxious look on the ppl's face at the collection counter add more pressure..of course they didn't want their stuff to go missing..and the relieve in their face after collection..just great..haha.. i think i am growing an obscession over my temporary job..and saw i guy coming up to the counter saying dun lose my laptop bag ya..my entire career is in there..haha..who puts his career in a laptop..nvm i'll leave that alone for now.. at 12.15, we finally finished with our debriefing and with 100 bucks to pocket..i have to say..it wasn't all about the money and occsionally hearing the myriad types of ringtones from the sealed phones..haha....but about gaining experience on how to deal with ppl from all walks of life..sure i did made my mistakes due to inexperience..but isn't mistakes stepping stones to further success..i have to thanks my cousin for the opportunity..walking 100 bucks richer was a bonus but the fun factor of working was invaluable..priceless i would say..
I finally did sth useful during the holidays..kudos to me..haha..
here's a few pics just to describe the moment..
eric taking a breather after sorting out everything..
here's the crew getting ready for action..and the guy was checking his watch..talk about timing
we had lines to sort the numbers into organised groups but being malaysians they didn't bother..no wonder it was hectic..
here's a close up of a small number of the envelopes stacked in order...
sorry i couldn't take a pic of myself..too busy working..haha..
take care ppl and thanks for reading..

Party Time!!
The party was held last Sunday (27-07-08) at our classmate's house. The girl with the ever infectious smile and appetite for Jap food..haha..she's none other than our very own Shu Jiun..
and indeed she was a great host..
the day started with me meeting up with Gan and KT at HELP carpark.. and off we went in a 3 car convoy heading to Jln Kuching where our SJ resides..upon reaching we parked our cars and there she was already greeting us..she how hospitable she can be..
i was a BBQ party and a potluck too..
I made lou mai fan( glutinous rice), LZ brought her beloved brownies, SY brought sandwiches and JL brought her famous potatoe..so in short, that's what we would be enjoying..
SY's sandwiches..
yummy food...
though it may seem like any other BBQ party..when it comes to A49 B..nothing can be too certain..as I was tired of clicking pics..i decided to keep my camera inside the house..
and as I walked in..I saw Shu Jiun holding a cake knife and she ran away to the back..haha..that triggered me to think that something is going on..then i went and peep behind KT to see what he was doing..haha..i saw this cake..and then i smiled..haha..the irony of it all was that their 'surprise' failed..looks like our 100 percent record is finally tainted..but all I could do was blame myself..but none the less..the look on KT's face when he realised i found out bout the lame surprise was classic..and the 'OH SHIT" haha pretty much sums it all up..i quietly returned to the front smiling and giggling..but the other july baby, Pui Ling was still unaware of the whereabouts behind..and as expected out came the cake with two candles..here it is...
one part oreo cheese and one part marble cheese..
thank you guys..the memories just great..
what would a party be without a little fun but at the expense of the bday boy ya..
in preparation for the horror ahead...
the horror..tim said i look like the joker on one side..haha...
oh and we had someone who came party with us..her name is Shanti..Shan in short..
she's gan's friend..she seems very nice and we tried to make her feel as comfortable as possible..
here's a pic of her and gan..
before this post gets any draggier than it already is..here's pictures to some up the day..
all of us enjoying the food served..
momentary corn adoring session by KT
Isn't she lovely?? me and liz..
here's me and KT squaring off with our ps2 though he whooped me being john cena and me being some fat useless guy called Snitsky..haha..see the enthusiasm in our eyes..
Xin Wen and Claudia
I have to say..he looks ridiculous..haha..that's none other than jon
Liz and Siew Yee
BBQ sting ray being ravaged!!
Tim enjoying his cake..total indulgence..haha..Viva Liverpool..
A great day all in all..next up..J2CM( jln-jln cari makan) part 2..

Jamming With Daughtry
Ahh...finally the much awaited jamming concert..It sure had it's fair share of publicity thanks to Sony Ericsson and 1u..major sponsors for the event..Alright enough about the formal stuff..well jamming with Daughtry was just simple stupendously AWESOME!!!
Haha..like eric said..he came and drop a bomb on us..a big bomb indeed..
Ok intially I wasn't even suppose to go for it..but thanks to jason, I got my golden ticket!!..buahaha..though it is coloured red i think..here it is..entry to the temple of rock and roll..
4 tickets for 4 ordinary ppl about to have a hella a good time..
It started with Eric coming to pick me up from my place..and here he is, driver of a silver mywi..and close friend indeed..
our group comprise of Eric, Me, Bee Zhen, Yi Rhu, Jason and Tshek Zen
though Bee Zhen and Tshek Zen..*ahem* got VIP treatment and free food, crap!!, we have to rough it out in a mob of ppl crying Daughtry till he can hear it from his hotel suite..imagine the ear banging we got..
b4 the concert..we went to makan at some place..can't remember though..but the hot plate ramen was so so only la..not as seducing as eric proclaimed it to be..
Oh b4 i go on, I scared a couple at Sushi King the same day..haha..entered OU entrance..and sth caught my eye..a black shirt that feels so familiar..true enough at was none other than kah tuck, my college bro and his gf cindy..haha..i popped my head beside him while he was looking at the menu..scared u didn't I..haha..ok enough bout him..now back to Daughty!!!
After early dinner, it was already 6.45pm, we rushed to central park avenue and to our horror the line was long enough for us to go 'ohhhemmmgeee' haha..
The umbrella didn't make the situation any better..It was freaking raining..
the flood gates didn't exactly open though, it was more of drizzles..
at about 7.30pm we entered..and we saw mun suet..she was working for Sony Ericsson..
got my wrist tag on..and of we go..happily trudging into the temple of rock and roll..we are destined to experience greatness..we finally arrived at the stage after passing a few iron barricades set up to create the street jamming atmosphere..haha..and i saw scantilly dressed chicks selling tuborg beer..i did wonder and asked eric why must they drees like this? the answer 'sex sells' well said!
the entrance
The real thing finally started at 8.15 or 8.30 like that and opening act was this band who plays instruments and only instruments.A little known group of asians called the Asian Percussion Unit..APU in short..they were true asians i tell you..there's this chinese dude dressed in red playing the flute and there's this jason castro looking guy with the dreadlocks..their performance interestingly boring..sounds very cliche..haha...very diversed band..good to know. This band is like those band you will find in the Sarawak Rain forest festival.or shall i say..african rainforest..Music was wicked and the lead singer sang some cool though sometimes uneasy chants..like black magic..dunno what the heck he's chanting about...haha..oh and he did a cover of Stevie Wonder,"Isn't She Lovely" and it was kinda OK. hats of to him..
Next up..it was Liang (ex HELP student) know him?? and Jin
well they did brought the rain to a momentary halt..and their 3 songs were not bad
and next up was our long loss 2nd malaysian idol..none other than Daniel!!
he did 3 songs, 2 malay and 1 chinese..loved the last song..Mimpi..still a fav of mine
but Daniel..please eat more like me..haha..loved your new look..since u asked on stage..but u need more meat bro..take it from me..i am meaty enough..ok enough of this incoherent ramblings
it was already 10pm and our legs are killing us..and our ears as well..
they had lucky draws conducted by Natalie and the pop shuvit guy.from hitz fm..
i nearly won i tell u..i thought i did..seriously...my number was 6143 and Natalie announced 6413..tough luck i tell u..eric and my sis had close calls too but the outcome setback!
next up were 3 turn table DJ's.1 of them were from Pop Shuvit,1 more from the band Ahli Fikir and the other one was DJ Fuzz from Hitz.fm.Together, they are known as Stylistix..Seriously, i had fun when the remixed all of those chart topping club song and people did managed to shake their booty and have fun dancing and singing along too.Good Job. But i find hip hop songs and club hits great in the beginning, after awhile it just get very steroetype..cause the beat is very similar..someone once tell me..u hear a hip hop song once, you heard it all..but none the less.i did dance to the beats..not as great as annual ball though..
After a long wait, the stage was quiet for 1 moment and the crowd started shouting for "DAUGHTRY" and finally his crew managed to set up the the rock equipments..huge MARSHALL amps..much different from the acoustic set they brought to singapore..yes i was at singapore much to eric's horror, when i saw them rocked the powerhouse club..here's pics back then
back to the present..
as the entire Daughtry band make their way to the concert from their hotel....recognise this place..just came out of one world hotel and pass SOHO and with Dave's Deli ahead and jusco and the wine shop to the left..imagine following the star to his concert..awesome right
haha..i was there..with pics as prove..haha..eric dun be jealous...buahahaaaaa....
here's a close up of the drum set..played by Josh Freese
so after nearly 4 hours of waiting, we finally got to see what we came to see..i mean with all do respect to Daniel and Liang...Daughtry was just on another planet..
since pictures are worth a thousand words..feast your eyes on extreme greatness..
excellent stage backdrop I have to say
my hero!!!!
and he has to bring the house down with his opening song..
'What I want' the famous aaaraaaraa chants from the awesome track..dl it and hear it for yourself and u'll know what i mean..
and when u thought it could not get better..
out came 'Used to' , 'Standing still' (a new song), and Breakdown..
I was absolutely flabbergasted..couldn't believe I was there..Awesome!!!!
and it came..my fav song.. Over You...truly brilliant..
doing the limbo rock with his guitar..awesome..
and one of my most memorable event..his solo performance for his new song 'Long Way'
it was excellent..genius..i tell u the praise just goes on..and the guitar looks freaking awesome
next came the more slow and subtle 'What About Now' ...had the acoustic feel...a clear testament to the versatility of this band..i love this song too..
next was 'Its not over', Helter Skelter (another new song), and 'Feel like tonight'
all brilliant...
and then when we thought it was over..the darkness of the stage was wiped out by their encore performance..out he stepped..and asked...'what do u want us to sing' ...and what would a Daughtry concert be without their song 'Home'...the chants and yelling of 'Home' reveberate around the concert..and then.....
I have to say..the 5 hours plus of standing was worth every second of it..chris daughtry is truly amazing.. and how the hell he failed to win American Idol season 4..truly and insult to his greatness....and as the saying goes no great leader is great without his men...
an introduction to his band members
lead guitar: Phil X
bass: Paul Bushnell (the mohawk dude)
Drums: Josh Freese
Vocals and guitar: Chris DAUGHTRY!!!!
an awesome 10 out of 10 for this concert..for those who missed it..haha..u all are a bunch of losers..haha..ok ok i am joking..but u did missed out on sth great..who noes when he 'll come back to malaysia..
and as the starting lines of his first single 'It's not over' goes...
I was blown away
What could say?
well i can say this..i can finally tick one box in my list of things to do b4 i go...kaput..
* attend a freaking awesome, jaw dropping rock concert.....TICKED...buahahahahaaaa
before i sign off..here's a few more pics of friends who just made the outing even better than it already was..you guys rock!!

The Almighty Reds
Ok..I have to talk about my new bday prezzie..
Not because it is red
Not because it is just a present
It is a present of presents I tell you.
I was overjoyed..absolutely enthralled i can almost feel the Earth tremble..
Haha..maybe cause I was jumping and stomping up and down
Ya..that makes sense..
Ok back to the present......
Drum role............
Tadaa!!!
Liverpool's official 2008-2010 home kit
Timothy!! I have it...haha...
Look at it...a master piece don't u think..
thanks LZ!!!
I love it so much..
Yes ppl..I am a liverpool fan!
Shocked, stunned, expected..
haha..I don't care..I am liverpool true and true..
and to don the new jersey on my bday was the cherry on top of the cake
maybe i was dreaming..but smelling the chocolate indulgence and burning wax of my bday candles told me..i am very much awake..
Old kit to the left, New to the right..
My sis says she can't tell the difference..
I was offended..haha..no la..but i have to say the changes are hard to see
Design is a little different with the new V neck
And a slight alteration to the shade of red..
THIS IS ANFIELD and know it!
Maybe I am living the dream..
No matter the obstacle, the barrier...
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
